Governor King Community
Named after Maine's first governor, William King, the memory loss program at The Highlands cares for residents with Alzheimer's Disease or related dementia. It provides a safe, supportive environment in a gracious residential setting. There is a high level of staff supervision, with licensed nurses and nurses' aides on duty 24 hours a day. A creatively structured and resident-focused life enrichment program provides opportunities and support in the memory loss program. In addition, the following services are  provided:

- Assistance with personal care

- Podiatry clinic
- Three chef-prepared meals daily
- Transportation to scheduled medical appointments
- Exercise program/indoor pool
