NATURE'S TREASURES ON DISPLAY
So many visitors come to Maine from all over the country, and the world, in fact, to see the marvelous birds and animals which many of us have in our own backyard. How fortunate, then, to have someone who can capture all this in photographs for the world to see.

COLLECTION OF TALENT
It’s amazing what talent may be around you but it’s hidden beneath the surface. It’s there at school, in the workplace, or just around the corner in your own neighborhood. It may be hidden by time, by life changes, by a myriad of circumstances or reasons you’ll never know, but it’s still there, and every now and then it needs to shine. That was the thought process behind a most incredible art exhibit now showing in the Maine Lodge at The Highlands.

WATCH THIS SPACE!
“You have faith in the project and the community, and with that in mind, I’m here today telling you Town Hall Village is ready to go!” That announcement from The Highlands’ owner/developer John Wasileski at a recent luncheon was met with a burst of applause from the “Pioneers”, the first residents who have signed up to be part of The Highlands’ newest neighborhood. On The Road Again
It’s always great to get away for a while, especially with friends. Once again, that’s what an adventurous group from The Highlands has done, this time traveling to western national parks.

Taking Strides to End Alzheimer's
True signs of fall: The leaves are turning, the air is cool and crisp, and the walkers in the annual Memory Walk are lacing up their sneakers. While it’s usually held the first Saturday of October, this year the walk is September 26th, in order not to conflict with a new statewide event for another cause.

Just a Neighborhood Get-Together
A wonderful part of summer is all those neighborhood get-togethers, when neighbors gather at one home for a cook-out. There’s just something about eating outdoors, sharing good food, and good conversation that makes for some very pleasant hours.

We all have favorites in our lives: favorite people, places, animals, even trees and flowers. The artist whose works are currently on display at The Highlands has all sorts of favorites, which are now covering the walls of the Maine Lodge Living Room.
