Better Living
“I bought my home the minute I walked in. It’s just right, everything is laid out just the way I need it. The biggest thing is the warm garage, which is absolutely one of the biggest features, everyone says that.”

Cathance River Preserve
Residents living at The Highlands enjoy a special relationship with the Cathance River Education Alliance. CREA is a non-profit organization founded by Highlands' owner John Wasileski and John Rensenbrink of Topsham’s Future, and is dedicated to using the resources of the Cathance River Preserve to educate students, educators, and the public.
Additionally, The Highlands residents enjoy the 230 acre Cathance River Preserve managed by CREA at its sister community, Highland Green, located adjacent to The Highlands. There are guided educational walks and the open opportunity to explore on one’s own time. Regardless of the season, nature enthusiasts thrive with this magnificent alliance. In addition to program participation, The Highlands supports CREA through resident and staff representatives serving on the Board of Directors.
